Common use of Ratification and Implementation Clause in Contracts

Ratification and Implementation. 2.1 The City and Association acknowledge that this Memorandum of Understanding shall not be in full force and effect until ratified by a simple majority vote of those employees voting who are in classifications represented by the Association set forth in this agreement and adopted in the form of a resolution by the City Council. 2.2 This agreement constitutes a mutual recommendation by the parties hereto, the City Council, that one or more ordinance and/or resolutions be adopted accepting its provisions and effecting the changes enumerated herein relating to wages, hours, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment for the unit employees represented by the Association. 2.3 Subject to the foregoing, this Memorandum of Understanding is hereby agreed to be recommended for approval by the authorized representative of the City and Association.
