Quote Modification Clause Samples

The Quote Modification clause allows for changes to be made to an initial price quote or proposal after it has been issued. In practice, this clause outlines the circumstances under which a quote can be adjusted, such as changes in project scope, unforeseen costs, or client requests, and typically requires mutual agreement between the parties before any modifications take effect. Its core function is to provide flexibility and ensure that both parties can adapt to changing requirements or conditions without being strictly bound to the original terms, thereby reducing the risk of disputes over pricing or deliverables.

Quote Modification. The Contractor will be granted only one opportunity to add new, valid line items that may have been omitted from its first Quote by submitting a second, revised Quote. The Contractor agrees to submit the revised Quote within forty-eight (48) hours of the initial Quote review meeting, unless otherwise specified in writing. Upon review of the revised Quote, the Contractor agrees to remove all line items or adjust quantities deemed inappropriate by the County, and re-submit its Quote within twenty-four (24) hours. No new line items may be added to the revised Quote, nor may quantities be increased, nor modifiers added unless specifically agreed to in writing by the County’s subsequent Quote review.
