QUALIFICATION DECISIONS. Decisions on whether an employee has successfully qualified on a job assignment needs to be a joint Union/Management decision to the extent possible. Therefore, input on the status of employee qualifications will be gathered from the employee being trained (through assessment) from the trainer conducting the training, and from the employee’s immediate supervisor. The final qualification decision will rest with the employee’s department manager with input from the employee’s Union representative.
