Purpose of Program. This Program shall be in place to assist beginning teachers who are new to the profession. The purpose of the Mentor/Mentee relationship include: assisting the Mentee to gain an understanding of best practices for quality instruction; providing a one-to-one relationship with an experienced and mature educator as the Mentee becomes acclimated to his/her role as a teacher; and ensuring that the District’s educational philosophy is being imparted to the Mentee.
