Common use of Purchase Preference Clause in Contracts

Purchase Preference. (i) Purchase preference shall be given to only “Class-I Local Supplier”. Both ‘Class-I local supplier’ and ‘Class-II local supplier’ shall be eligible to bid for the tender. (ii) In case of participation of MSE and Local supplier against a same tender, MSE bidder will be given preference over other bidders to match with L1 bidder provided it has chosen Purchase Preference under PPP MSE Order 2012 in the tender & it is meeting Purchase Preference Criteria as per Public Procurement Policy of MSEs Order 2012. Bidder has to indicate his choice for purchase preference in Annexure-G which will not be permitted to be changed once bid is opened.
