A publicizing clause governs how and whether the parties to an agreement may disclose or announce the existence or terms of their relationship to the public. Typically, it sets out restrictions or permissions regarding press releases, marketing materials, or other forms of public communication, sometimes requiring prior written consent before any announcement is made. This clause helps protect sensitive business information and ensures that both parties maintain control over how their association is presented publicly, thereby preventing unauthorized or potentially damaging disclosures.

Publicizing. The NOFO must establish the initial period of the award, describe the timeframe for the recipient to request renewal, and specify the period of performance covered by the initial period and all renewal periods. The NOFO and any resulting award must specify when the recipient must submit the renewal application(s). The NOFO and any resulting award must specify the process and criteria for renewal, and the content of the recipient’s request for renewal. 2 CFR 200 Appendix I, identifies Section B of the NOFO as the place to address whether applications for renewal of existing awards must be considered along with applications for new Federal awards.

Management shall allow the use of physical or electronic areas that are mutually agreed upon by the Parties, for the display of notices, etc. bulletin boards will be prominently identified as such by Management. The Union agrees that postings will appear nowhere else in EDA spaces and that information posted will not contain items relating to partisan political matters, attacks upon individuals, and will not contain language which maligns the character of any individual federal employee.
SECTION 2. Management will list the name and office telephone number of the Union President in the EDA telephone directory as soon as it is practicable to do so.
