Proportionate Allocation Sample Clauses

The Proportionate Allocation clause establishes a method for distributing responsibility, costs, or benefits among parties based on their respective shares or contributions. In practice, this means that if multiple parties are involved in a project or transaction, each party's liability or entitlement is calculated according to their percentage of involvement or fault. For example, if damages occur and several parties are responsible, each will pay only for the portion corresponding to their degree of responsibility. This clause ensures fairness by preventing any one party from bearing more than their fair share, thereby allocating risk and obligations in a balanced manner.
