PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS OF UNION REPRESENTATIVES. 4.01 The Company agrees that it will not promote or transfer an Officer, Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or member of the Executive Board of a Union Local without consent of the Union Local if such promotion or transfer affects his status as a repre- sentative of the Union Local. The Company shall give the Union Local not less than fourteen (14) calendar days written notice of any proposed promotion or transfer of an Officer, Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or member of the Executive Board of a Union Local. 4.02 The Company shall give the Local Union not less than seven (7) calendar days written notice of a promotion or transfer of a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ in excess of ten (10) calendar days which will affect his status as a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ of the Local Union. 4.03 The Union and each Local Union shall keep the Company currently advised in writing of the names of the representatives set forth above.

PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS OF UNION REPRESENTATIVES. Section 1. The Company agrees that it will not initiate or discuss with any duly certified representative a promotion or transfer which affects his/her existing status as a representative of the Union without first obtaining the consent of the C.W.A. Vice President (District 1) or his/her designated representatives. The Company shall give the Union oral notice of the proposed promotion or transfer and if the Union orally consents, the Company may initiate the promotion or transfer immediately. The Company shall forward to the Union within one week written acknowledgment of such oral consent. If the Union does not orally consent, the Company shall give the Union written notice of the proposed promotion or transfer and the Union shall conclusively be presumed to have consented, unless within one week after receipt of such written notification, it advises the Company in writing that it does not consent. Section 2. For the purpose of this Article, the term "any duly certified representative" will mean employees who are on leave of absence from the Company under the provisions of Article 6 of this Agreement - "Absence for Union Duties," the President, the Vice President and the Secretary- Treasurer of each Union Local representing Traffic Department employees of the Company and Group Leaders in these Locals, whose names have been furnished by the Union to the Company in writing as duly authorized representatives of the Union.

PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS OF UNION REPRESENTATIVES. 4.01 The Company will not promote or transfer a Representative of the Union without giving written notice of its proposed action to the Union if the promotion or transfer will affect the status of the employee as a Representative of the Union and is for a period of more than six months or is for a period of more than six weeks if it would require the employee to work in a building other than the one in which he normally works. If the Union objects in writing within two weeks of the notification, the Company will not make the promotion or transfer. The Union will keep the Company Labor Relations Manager advised of the names of all its Representatives so that the Company may give any required notice.
