Promotional Probationary Sample Clauses

Promotional Probationary. Period Promoted employees shall serve a promotional probationary period of six (6) months. Promoted employees who fail to meet acceptable standards for the higher position shall be reduced to their former position at the discretion of the Employer. Reductions of promotional probationary employees are appealable through the grievance procedure set forth herein.

Promotional Probationary. Period Any employee promoted into a higher-level position within the Department shall be required to complete a probationary period of one (1) calendar year. An employee serving a promotional probationary period whose performance is judged unsatisfactory shall be returned to his former classification. An employee returned to his former classification shall not have the right to appeal such return if it occurs within the first six months of his probationary period. This Section shall only apply to persons who are currently employed with the Department at the time of their promotion. Any other employee, whether or not in a position with the Township, shall be required to serve an original probationary period as set forth in this Article.

  • Promotional Probationary Period An employee who has previously completed the requisite probationary period and who is rejected during a subsequent probationary period for a promotional appointment shall be reinstated to the former position from which the employee was appointed. If the employee was dismissed from employment during the promotional probationary period, the employee shall not be entitled to such reinstatement rights.
