PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE ISSUES. 15.1 New employees shall receive a clinical orientation of a minimum of one month as determined by the Employer. An orientation shall consist of a thorough review of all the Employer’s policies and procedures. 15.2 The Employer shall provide in-service programs as required by the New Jersey Department of Health, any accrediting organization, or any governmental regulatory body. Employees shall suffer no loss of pay while attending such programs. Further, the Employer agrees to provide in-service programs when policies or procedures regarding nursing practice are implemented. Upon approval of Nursing Management, employees may attend continuing education programs on the subject of Wound Care. Employees with approval to attend shall be paid for days in attendance and all program fees will be reimbursed by the Employer. 15.3 The Employer shall allow each employee to attend one (1) day of continuing education program on an annual basis provided the nursing schedule allows. Employees shall receive regular pay for the day.
