Priority Principle. Programs and Services should contribute to Closing the Gap by meeting the targets endorsed by COAG while being appropriate to local community need. The activities in this implementation plan are designed on the evidence-base of what is required to meet the COAG targets. To ensure activities are appropriate to local community needs, the existing regional health forums will be used to inform the design and delivery of services. Where local health forums (or equivalent) exist, these will also be utilised.
