Prepayment Meters. In the event of the Consumer requiring or being required to take the supply through a prepayment meter, the prepayment meter with all attachments thereto shall be fixed by and remain the property of the Company and the Consumer shall keep the meter, attachments and fittings at all times in safe custody, be responsible for the loss of or any damage to the meter, attachments and fittings howsoever such loss or damage may be caused, and make good such loss or damage on demand.
Prepayment Meters. If any Point of Connection has Metering Equipment installed in respect of which the Consumer must pay the Retailer for electricity and line network services supplied by the Retailer and the Distributor respectively to that Consumer before such services are consumed or supplied (“Prepaid Metering”) then, in respect of that Point of Connection:
Prepayment Meters. If any Point of Connection has Metering Equipment installed in respect of which the Consumer must pay the Retailer for electricity and line network services supplied by the Retailer and the Distributor respectively to that Consumer before such services are consumed or supplied (“Prepaid Metering”) then, in respect of that Point of Connection: (a) The Retailer will obtain the metering data no less frequently than once in each 12 month period and clause 6.4.5 shall be construed accordingly. (b) The Retailer will fulfil the Distributor’s obligations under the GST Act and under any other laws which relate to the issue of Tax Invoices by the Distributor. (c) The Line Network Portion of each amount received from any such Consumer will be: (i) estimated by the Retailer on receipt of such payment by applying: (A) the pricing option in respect of that Point of Connection specified on the Registry in respect of the relevant ICP; and (B) the Retailer’s pricing option, (ii) if Option 1 has effect, treated as if such payment was made in respect of a Tax Invoice sent by the Retailer representing amounts due to both the Retailer and the Distributor and paid to the Distributor accordingly; and (iii) if Option 2 has effect, multiplied by the Discount Factor and the total shall be paid by the Retailer to the Distributor in accordance with clause 6.9.2(a). (d) If at any time it is discovered that the Metering Equipment is not accurately recording metering data, the Retailer will repair or replace that Metering Equipment and will, if applicable, incorporate the necessary adjustments into the next a Tax Invoice issued to the relevant Consumer in respect of the amounts due to the Distributor and to the Retailer. (e) The Retailer will, on the 5th Working Day of each month, and in accordance with EIEP1, advise the Distributor of the information referred to in clause 6.4.2(a) in respect of amounts received from any such Consumer during the previous month. (f) Following the Retailer obtaining the metering data under sub-clause (a), the Retailer will calculate the exact amount of the Line Network Portion of all payments received from the Consumer and will advise the Distributor of the same within the report to be delivered under clause 6.4.2 in the month following the month in which the Retailer obtained the relevant data. (g) The Retailer will pay or deduct such amount as is necessary to ensure that the exact amount of the Line Network Portion of all such payments received has been...

Please remember that a prepayment meter may be more expensive than other ways to pay for energy. b. We may ask you to pay for your gas or electricity (or both) through a prepayment meter on our prepayment terms. We may do this if: i. You failed our credit checks; ii. A prepayment meter is already installed; iii. We have reason to believe that someone has tampered with an existing meter; or iv. You owe us money and by installing a prepayment meter we can avoid cutting ofi your gas or electricity (or both). c. If you have a prepayment meter fitted then you will be provided with some supplemental terms and conditions either by us or by an agent acting on our behalf who provides you with the key/card for you to add credit to your meter and, for example, will explain how credit can be added to your prepayment meter and how your meter works. d. If you have got into debt and you are paying ofi the money you owe us through a prepayment meter you must make the weekly repayments we have agreed with you to make sure you pay back the money you owe us. You will need to add more credit to your meter over and above the repayment we have agreed with you to pay for your ongoing energy use and standing charges. e. If you fail to keep up with the repayments we have agreed with you (for example you fail to top up your meter with credit) we will review your ability to pay and we may, where appropriate: i. Ask you to repay the total amount you owe us straight away; or; ii. Increase the weekly rate at which you are paying ofi the debt iii. Seek to recover that debt by an alternative means (for example we may agree another payment method with you); or; iv. Take action against you through the courts to recover the debt. f. A prepayment meter may be exchanged for a credit meter (or converted from prepayment to credit mode if a smart meter has been installed and the functionality is available) upon your request provided you have paid any outstanding debt and complied with any additional terms and conditions we may have notified you about.
