Pre-Production Licence Clause Samples

A Pre-Production Licence is a contractual provision that grants a party the right to use certain intellectual property or materials before the main production phase begins. Typically, this licence allows activities such as testing, evaluation, or development using the licensed materials, but restricts commercial exploitation until a full production licence is granted. Its core function is to enable preparatory work while clearly defining the scope and limitations of use, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized use or disputes during the pre-production stage.
