Practice Supervisor. The person whose role is to support and supervise Nursing and Midwifery Students/ Apprentices in the practice learning environment. All Students/ Apprentices must be supervised while learning in practice environments.

Practice Supervisor. This means Employees of the Practice Learning Partner qualified as defined by the NMC, who are registered health and social care professionals who facilitate the achievement of student learning outcomes in practice learning. Throughout this document, we use the term ‘Mentor’ to refer to practice supervisors.
