POURS Clause Samples
The "POURS" clause typically defines the responsibilities and procedures related to the handling of hazardous substances, such as petroleum, oil, or other regulated materials, in a contract. In practice, this clause may specify how spills or leaks must be reported, cleaned up, and who bears the associated costs or liabilities. For example, it might require the party responsible for a spill to immediately notify authorities and take remedial action. The core function of the POURS clause is to allocate risk and responsibility for environmental incidents, ensuring that both parties understand their obligations and that environmental harm is promptly addressed.
