Common use of Population Clause in Contracts

Based Initiatives (PBIs) and Experience Rebates: HMO may subtract from an experience rebate owed to the State, expenses for population-based health initiatives that have been approved by HHSC. A population-based initiative (PBI) is a project or program designed to improve some aspect of quality of care, quality of life, or health care knowledge for the Medicaid population that may also benefit the community as a whole.
