PLUTO SPECIAL LEAVE Clause Samples

The PLUTO SPECIAL LEAVE clause establishes a specific type of leave entitlement for employees under certain conditions defined by the employer or agreement. PLUTO SPECIAL LEAVE. (1) On commencement each Employee will be placed on a four (4) week Work Cycle for the purpose of accruing R&R Leave entitlements and entitlements to Pluto Special Leave (PSL) in accordance with this clause. (2) Employees may change their Work Cycle in accordance with the provisions of Appendix 7Distant Work Provisions or Appendix 8 – Local Work Provisions of this Agreement. (3) Pluto Special Leave (PSL) is additional leave that accrues to an Employee (including a casual Employee) who works all Project Working Hours (Monday through to Saturday) in their Work Cycle. PSL does not accrue during any period of R&R Leave. (4) Where an Employee qualifies for PSL at the end of their Work Cycle, they shall accrue PSL as shown in the table below: 4 weeks Upon completing two-hundred and forty (240) Project Working Hours in that Work Cycle the Employee shall accrue thirty-two (32) hours of PSL to be taken in accordance with this clause. 5 weeks Upon completing three-hundred (300) Project Working Hours in that Work Cycle the Employee shall accrue fifty (50) hours of PSL to be taken in accordance with this clause. 6 weeks Upon completing three-hundred and sixty (360) Project Working Hours in that Work Cycle the Employee shall accrue seventy-two (72) hours of PSL to be taken in accordance with this clause.

  • Special Leave The Employer, in any one year, may grant to an Employee: (a) special leave without pay for such a period as it deems circumstances warrant; (b) special leave with pay for reasons other than those covered by 19.02 to 19.11 inclusive, for such period as it deems circumstances warrant.

  • Special Leaves An employee who is on an approved FMLA leave or on a Voluntary Reduction in Hours as provided elsewhere in this Agreement maintains eligibility for an Employer Contribution.

  • General Leave Notwithstanding any provision for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant a leave of absence without pay to an employee requesting leave for an emergency or other unusual circumstances. A leave of absence may also be granted for any other reason in which case approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. All requests and approvals for leave shall be in writing. Upon request, the Employer will give reasons orally for withholding approval.

  • Casual Leave Employees may be granted casual leave with pay to a maximum of two (2) hours for the following purposes:

  • General Leaves When no other leaves are available, a leave of absence may be granted to an employee on a paid or unpaid basis at any time upon any terms acceptable to the District and an employee.
