Placement on List. Employees retained by the Employer, after completion of their probationary period, will be credited with seniority as of their first day of employment with the Employer and their names will be added to the seniority list.
Placement on List. 16 The name of an employee who is laid off shall be placed on a 17 layoff list for the classification that he last held and any other lower classification in the 18 promotional line. An employee who elects to retire shall not be considered as having 19 layoff status and shall not be placed on a layoff list. However, an employee who 20 accepts a transfer or demotion shall be placed on a layoff list for the classification from 21 which he was demoted.
