PILING. 24.1 The Client must provide unrestricted access to each pile position and sufficient storage area adjacent to the piling location.
24.2 The Client must provide and maintain survey pegs for each pile.
24.3 The Contract Price does not include any allowance for:
(a) damage to piles caused by unidentified underground obstructions or other latent conditions;
(b) dilapidation surveys or vibration monitoring unless expressly stated otherwise in the Tender;
(c) home warranty insurance;
(d) pointing the top of piles;
(e) cutting or capping piles or removing surplus materials from site;
(f) static or dynamic load testing of piles; or
(g) more than one establishment.
24.4 The Client acknowledges and agrees that if cutting and capping of piles is necessary, each pile level is to be marked by the Client or a third party under the direction of the Client.
24.5 If cutting or capping of piles is required, the Contract Price will increase at a rate of $40 per metre for softwood pile and $200 per metre for hardwood pile.
24.6 Any cost incurred in relation to the piles is to be paid in addition to the Contract Price and calculated on the pitched length of piles.
24.7 ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ accepts no liability for damage to existing properties or services while pile installation is done to design, specification or as instructed by client.
PILING. Purchaser shall pile organic debris no closer than 20 feet from standing timber and no higher than 20 feet in areas specified in Clause 3-22 DESIGNATED WASTE AREA FOR ORGANIC DEBRIS. Piles must be free of rock and soil.
PILING. Where cut vegetation is to be piled, the piles shall have a maximum height of 3 feet and a maximum width of 15 feet. The piles shall have a 20-foot break every 100 feet of pile length to serve as a fire break. Piles shall have a neat and orderly appearance, void of any excessive protruding material.
A. Piling With Equipment Piling with equipment shall be performed in accordance with the following:
1. Cut vegetation shall be carried or dragged, not pushed, to pile locations.
2. Piles shall be compacted to less than the specified maximum height by traversing with tracked vehicles and/or other equipment.
B. Hand Piling Where cut vegetation is piled by hand, the piles shall be compacted to less than the specified maximum height by cutting with chainsaws.
C. In Maine, all piling will be in accordance with the current Maine Slash Law.

PILING. No piling shall take place for each development phase hereby permitted until a piling method statement for the relevant phase (detailing the depth and type of piling to be undertaken and the methodology by which such piling will be carried out, including measures to prevent and minimise the potential for damage to subsurface sewerage infrastructure, and the programme for the works) has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority in consultation with the relevant water or sewerage undertaker Thames Water. Any piling must be undertaken in accordance with the terms of the approved piling method statement. To prevent any potential to impact on local underground water and sewerage utility infrastructure, in accordance with Policies 5.14 and 5.15 of the London Plan 2016, Policies CC3 and CC5 of the Local Plan 2018 and Key Principles of the Planning Guidance SPD 2018.
PILING. All timber pilling shall conform to Louisiana Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges, 2006 edition, Specification Sections 812 and 1014. Timber piling shall be a minimum of ten (10) inches in diameter (nominal end) and of such length that the pile has a minimum of eight (8) feet of the pile’s length as ground penetration and a minimum pile top elevation of four (4) feet above grade.
PILING. 12.1 The Contract Supervisor will specify the conditions under which piles may be installed on the network operator’s property.
PILING. All slash created from the above mentioned activities will be piled except green tree ▇▇▇▇▇ 6 to 10 inches in diameter. Green tree ▇▇▇▇▇ 6 to 10 inches in diameter should be left out of piles. Minimum acceptable pile size will be 5 feet high and 5 feet wide. Piles should be compact with smaller material such as needles and braches in the center and larger material such as ▇▇▇▇▇ on top to compress lighter fuels. As much as possible, piles should be located in open areas, out from underneath the crowns, (drip line), of residual trees. Cover at least 80% of each pile with 6 mil plastic placed in the upper 1/5th of the pile. Plastic must be sufficiently anchored with slash or brush so that it will not blow off in high winds.
