Common use of Physician-Patient Relationship Clause in Contracts

Physician-Patient Relationship. PacifiCare and Medical Group acknowledge and agree that Medical Group or each of Medical Group’s Participating Providers shall maintain the physician-patient relationship with each Medical Group Member. Nothing contained in this Agreement is intended to interfere with such physician-patient relationship. Nothing in this Agreement shall be interpreted to discourage or prohibit Medical Group and its Participating Providers from discussing treatment options or providing other medical advice or treatment deemed appropriate by Medical Group or its Participating Providers. Medical Group or its Participating Providers shall have the sole responsibility for the medical care and treatment of Medical Group Members.

Nothing contained in this Agreement is intended to interfere with such physician-patient relationship. Nothing in this Agreement shall be interpreted to discourage or prohibit Medical Group and its Participating Providers from discussing treatment options or providing other medical advice or treatment deemed appropriate by Medical Group or its Participating Providers. Medical Group or its Participating Providers Physicians shall have the sole responsibility for the medical care and treatment of Members under Medical Group MembersPhysician's care. Nothing contained in this Agreement is intended to interfere with the professional relationship between any Member and Medical Group Physician.
