Physician Orders. If there are physician orders that are inconsistent with the Plan of Care or Hospice protocols, a registered nurse with Facility shall notify Hospice. An authorized representative of Hospice shall resolve differences directly with the physician and secure the necessary orders.

Physician Orders. The RN must ensure there is a written order from a duly licensed prescriber and there is written parental permission to administer the medication has been obtained. Orders must be renewed at least annually or earlier when appropriate- such as when there is a change in medication or dosage. All medications, including non-prescription drugs, given on the bus shall be prescribed by a licensed prescriber on an individual basis. Written orders for prescription and nonprescription medications should minimally include:
