Periodic Increases Sample Clauses
The 'Periodic Increases' clause establishes a mechanism for regularly adjusting certain amounts or rates specified in an agreement, such as rent, service fees, or salaries, at set intervals. Typically, this clause outlines the frequency of increases (e.g., annually) and may specify the method of calculation, such as a fixed percentage, a set dollar amount, or linkage to an inflation index. Its core practical function is to ensure that payments or obligations keep pace with changing economic conditions, thereby protecting one or both parties from the effects of inflation or market shifts over the term of the contract.
