  • Disciplinary Procedures The employing authority should ensure that all employees are aware of the disciplinary rules and procedures that apply. All employees should also be aware to whom they can apply if they are dissatisfied with any disciplinary decision. These procedures should accord with legal requirements and with the ACAS Code of Practice and guidance.

  • SUSPENSION AND DISCIPLINE 29.01 When an employee is suspended or discharged from duty, the Employer undertakes to notify the employee in writing, with a copy to the Association, of the reason for such suspension or discharge. The Employer shall endeavour to give such notification at the time of suspension or discharge.

  • MAINTENANCE OF CLASSROOM CONTROL AND DISCIPLINE A. When, in the judgment of a teacher, a student is, by behavior, seriously disrupting the instructional program to the detriment of other students, the teacher may exclude the student temporarily from the classroom and refer the student to the building administrator for appropriate intervention.   • DISCIPLINE AND DISCHARGE 21.01 The Employer may warn, suspend, demote or discharge employees for just cause. If the conduct or performance of an employee warrants disciplinary action, such action shall be confirmed in writing. A copy of all such documentation shall be provided to the employee(s) involved and forwarded to the office of the Union at the time they are issued.

  • Administration of Discipline At the time formal discipline is imposed or at any stage of the grievance procedure, an employee shall have the right to the presence of her committee member. In the case of suspension or discharge, the committee member will be present unless the employee waives this right in the presence of the committee member. Wherever the Hospital deems it necessary to suspend or discharge an employee, the Hospital shall forward to the Union notice of such suspension or discharge in writing, at the same time it is given to the employee.

  • Disciplinary Procedure (a) The disciplinary procedure applies if, following the investigation, the Employer reasonably considers that the Employee’s conduct or performance may warrant disciplinary steps being taken.

  • DISCIPLINE PROCEDURES The discipline procedure may be initiated only within twenty (20) Days of the date the President or Vice-President (Academic and Research) knew, or ought reasonably to have known, of the occurrence of the matter giving rise to discipline. The Employer shall have the right to request, in writing to the Union, an extension of ten (10) Days. The Union shall not unreasonably reject the Employer’s request.
