Payments by E Sample Clauses

Payments by E. ON are not considered as acknowledgement, approval of a performance or waiver of notice of defect. 16.4. E. ON shall retain from the agreed remuneration any withholding taxes (in particular withholding tax in the event of limited tax liability of the Contractor under Section 50a EstG due to its residence abroad) including the solidarity surcharge thereon and shall pay such taxes to the competent tax authority (in the cases of Section 50a Einkommenssteuergesetz (EStG) the Federal Central Tax Office (Bundeszentralamt für Steuern, BZSt)) for the account of the Contractor. In particular, remuneration for the use of rights within the meaning of copyrights is subject to withholding tax pursuant to Section 50a EStG.
