Partial Day Off Sample Clauses
The Partial Day Off clause defines the terms under which an employee may take time off for a portion of a workday rather than a full day. Typically, this clause outlines how such absences are to be requested, approved, and recorded, and may specify how the time off is deducted from leave balances or handled in payroll. By establishing clear procedures for partial day absences, the clause ensures both employer and employee understand their rights and obligations, thereby reducing confusion and potential disputes regarding time off.

Partial Day Off. Managers may be allowed reasonable time off during normal duty hours to take care of personal business or for other personal reasons.
(1) No recordkeeping is required of such time off. The requirement is simply that the immediate supervisor give approval.
(2) A manager who does not have sufficient allowable vacation time or sick leave time to cover a full workday’s absence on a given day should be allowed management time off so that the entire day will be paid. Managers who have exhausted authorized vacation and/or sick leave may be docked for entire days but not for partial days.
