Paramedic Pay. 1. Effective January 1, 2018, Battalion Chief Paramedics will receive a $1,000 Paramedic Certification bonus upon biennial Paramedic License recertification, not to exceed one payment in a 48-month period. 2. The parties agree that to the extent permitted by law, this is special compensation and shall be reported as such pursuant to Title 2 CCR, Section 571(a)(2) Paramedic Pay as special compensation.
