Parallel Operation or Parallel Sample Clauses

Parallel Operation or Parallel. The state of operation which occurs when a Small Generator Facility is connected electrically to the Electric Distribution System and the potential exists for electricity to flow from the Small Generator Facility to the Electric Distribution System. Point of Interconnection - The point where the Small Generator Facility is electrically connected to the Electric Distribution System. Point of Interconnection has the same meaning as the term point of common coupling defined in 3.1.13 of IEEE Standard 1547. Small Generator Facility - The equipment used by an interconnection customer to generate, or store electricity that operates in parallel with the Electric Distribution System. A Small Generator Facility typically includes an electric generator, prime mover, and the Interconnection Equipment required to safely interconnect with the Electric Distribution System or a local electric power system.

Parallel Operation or Parallel. The state of operation that occurs when a Distributed Generation Facility is connected electrically to the Electric Distribution System for longer than 100 milliseconds. Point of Common Coupling (PCC) – The point where the Distributed Generation Facility is electrically connected to the Electric Distribution System. Point of interconnection has the same meaning as the term Point of Common Coupling defined in IEEE Standard 1547. The PCC is typically the electric meter, unless otherwise stated. Source – The electricity provided from the LGMU system. UL 1741 – The Underwriters Laboratories Standard 1741, “Inverters, Converters, Controllers and Interconnection System Equipment for Use With Distributed Energy Resources.” INTENTION AND DESCRIPTION OF THE AGREEMENT This Agreement is intended for any Interconnecting Party wanting to install generating equipment on LGMU’s system. Typical installations include, but are not limited to, solar panels and wind turbines. This agreement can support intended installations with a generating capacity of up to 500kW in size, and over this size an interconnection shall be guided by the policies of the Transmission Provider, Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO). For installations of 20 kW and smaller with inverters that are pre-certified, expedited analysis of applications will apply. This Agreement governs the terms and conditions under which the Distributed Generation Facility will interconnect to, and operate in parallel with, the LGMU’s Electric Distribution System. This Agreement does not constitute an agreement to purchase or deliver the Interconnecting Party’s power. Nothing in this Agreement is intended to affect any other agreement between the LGMU and the Interconnecting Party. These systems operate in parallel with electricity from the power lines to the premises. Should the Source lose power for any reason, the Interconnecting Party’s System shall automatically prevent energization of the LGMU system. This Agreement references codes, standards, and practices to have a safely operating system. If any of these requirements are not met, there exists a potential for damage to equipment and/or personal harm, as well as possibly discontinuing the use of the Interconnecting Party’s System. LGMU shall construct, own, operate, and maintain its Interconnection Facilities in accordance with this Agreement. The Interconnection Customer shall construct, own, operate, and maintain its Distributed Generation Facility an...
