Common use of Paperless Trading Clause in Contracts

Paperless Trading. 1. Each Party shall accept the electronic format of trade administration documents as the legal equivalent of paper documents except where: (a) there is a domestic or international legal requirement to the contrary; or (b) doing so would reduce the effectiveness of the trade administration process. 2. The Parties shall cooperate bilaterally and in international fora to enhance acceptance of electronic versions of trade administration documents.

The Parties shall cooperate bilaterally and in international fora to enhance the acceptance of electronic versions of trade administration documents.

Each Party shall accept the electronic format of endeavour to (a) make trade administration documents available to the public in electronic form; and (b) accept trade administration documents submitted electronically as the legal equivalent of the paper documents except where: (a) there is a domestic or international legal requirement to the contrary; or (b) doing so would reduce the effectiveness version of the trade administration processthose documents. 2. Each Party shall work towards implementing initiatives which provide for the use of paperless trading, taking into account the methods agreed by international organisations including the World Customs Organisation. 3. The Parties shall cooperate bilaterally and in international fora for a to enhance acceptance of electronic versions of trade administration documents.

The Parties Each Party shall cooperate bilaterally and in endeavor to work toward the development of a single window for government that incorporates relevant international fora to enhance acceptance of electronic versions standards for the conduct of trade administration documentsadministration, recognizing that each Party will have its own unique requirements and conditions.
