Common use of Outermost Regions Clause in Contracts

Outermost Regions. 1. Where any product originating in one or several of the Republics of the CA Party is being imported into the territory of one or several outermost regions of the EU Party in such increased quantities and under such conditions as to cause or threaten to cause serious deterioration in the economic situation of the outermost region(s) concerned of the EU Party, the EU Party, after having examined alternative solutions, may exceptionally take safeguard measures limited to the territory of the region(s) concerned.
