Operation and Construction Clause Samples

The 'Operation and Construction' clause defines how the terms of the contract are to be interpreted and applied throughout the agreement. It typically clarifies the rules for construing ambiguous language, addresses how headings, plural or singular terms, and gendered language should be read, and may specify that the contract should be interpreted as a whole rather than in isolated parts. This clause ensures consistency and predictability in the interpretation of the contract, reducing the risk of disputes over meaning and application.
