Old Version State Clause Samples
The "Old Version State" clause defines the status and handling of previous versions of a document, agreement, or software when a new version is introduced. Typically, this clause clarifies whether the old version remains valid, is superseded, or must be archived or destroyed, and may outline the process for transitioning from the old to the new version. Its core practical function is to prevent confusion or disputes by clearly establishing which version is authoritative and how prior versions should be treated.
