OFLA Requirements. 22 Up to two (2) weeks of unpaid leave may be taken if requested pursuant 23 to OFLA requirements. Approval to take such unpaid leave will not be 24 unreasonably withheld. 25 7.9.2 7.10.3 Bereavement Pay. 26 Approval will not be unreasonably withheld for up to three (3) days’ leave 27 without bereavement pay in the event of the death of the brother or sister 28 of a current spouse. 29 7.9.3 7.10.4 Advance Notification. 30 By advance written notification to the employer, the amount of 31 bereavement leave described above may be taken by an employee at 32 times other than immediately after the date of death. The number of days 33 available for such bereavement leave will remain unchanged, but 1 employees may, within ninety (90) calendar days after the date of the 2 death request to take a bereavement leave on a specific designated day 3 during such ninety (90) calendar day period. In order to accommodate 4 such request, the employee must provide a written request to the 5 employee's supervisor no less than fourteen (14) calendar days before 6 the date the employee wishes to take off as part of the paid bereavement 7 leave described above. Notification may be less than fourteen (14) 8 calendar days with supervisory approval.
