Common use of Official Representatives Clause in Contracts

Official Representatives. 58. For purposes of negotiating a successor collective bargaining agreement, the Union may select up to thirty-two (32) members to serve during the employee's regular duty or work hours without loss of compensation. For purposes of meeting and conferring with the City, on matters within the scope of representation during the term of the agreement, the Union may select up to five (5) members to serve during the employee’s regular duty or work hours without loss of compensation. If a situation should arise where the Union believes that more than five (5) employee members should be present at such meetings, and the City disagrees, the Union shall take the matter up with the Employee Relations Director and the parties shall attempt to reach agreement as to how many employees shall be authorized to participate in said meetings.
