Official functions Clause Samples
The 'Official functions' clause defines the roles, responsibilities, and authorities of individuals or bodies acting in an official capacity within an organization or under a contract. It typically outlines which actions or decisions are considered official, who is authorized to perform them, and the scope of their authority—such as signing documents, making binding commitments, or representing the organization in external matters. This clause ensures clarity regarding who can act on behalf of the organization, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized actions and potential disputes over the validity of official acts.

Official functions. The inclusion of appropriate official functions at the Tournament is at the discretion of the host state. Consideration may be given to the following: • An Opening Ceremony • A Closing Ceremony and Presentation of Trophies • A Special Event (eg. Tournament Dinner/Informal Evening) In deciding to hold such ceremonies, the host state should have regard to the timing of the event in relation to match schedules, team warm-‐ups and fixed team arrangements, such as flight departures so that all teams can attend. These occasions should be as brief as is appropriate, whilst providing an opportunity to publicly thank sponsors, players and officials.
