The Nurse Representative clause designates a specific individual or role to act as the primary liaison or spokesperson for nursing staff within an organization or in relation to a particular agreement. This clause typically outlines the responsibilities of the Nurse Representative, such as communicating concerns, participating in meetings, or facilitating feedback between nurses and management. Its core practical function is to ensure that the interests and perspectives of nursing staff are effectively represented and communicated, thereby promoting collaboration and addressing workplace issues efficiently.
Nurse Representative. One (1) Nurse Representative and an alternate representative who will be authorized to represent the nurses in the absence of the Nurse Representative. The Nurse Representative shall be given time off to assist a nurse in presenting a grievance during working hours under the following conditions: i) The presentation must be to management. Nurses having grievances may discuss these with the Nurse Representative during coffee breaks and the lunch period, but not during working hours, except in cases where the circumstances require immediate attention. ii) The time shall be devoted to the prompt handling of the grievance. iii) The Nurse Representative and the nurse having the grievance shall obtain the permission of their immediate manager before leaving their work. iv) The time away from work shall be reported to the immediate manager so that a proper record may be kept. v) The Employer reserves the right to limit such time if it deems the time so taken to be excessive until the Step 2 meeting.
Nurse Representative. The Hospital will recognize one (1) Nurse Representative or an alternate. The Association is to provide to the Hospital the name of this representative on an annual basis.
Nurse Representative. The Hospital acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select a primary and alternate nurse for each unit at each campus to act as Union Nurse Representative.
Nurse Representative. The Hospital will recognize a Nurse Representative for each defined unit in the Hospital.

In no case shall the Nurse’s activities interfere with the performance of their job responsibilities or those of other Nurses covered by the Agreement.
Nurse Representative. ‌ CNA may appoint Nurse Representatives who shall be non-probationary Registered Nurses of PPH and shall notify PPH in writing within ten (10) days of such appointments. The function of the Nurse Representatives shall be to handle grievances and to ascertain that the terms and conditions of the Agreement are observed. Time spent with PPH management in grievance and “▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇” meetings as a representative of PPH bargaining unit members shall constitute “hours worked.” Time preparing for such meetings shall not constitute “hours worked.”
