Common use of Nuclear Risks Clause in Contracts

Nuclear Risks. The Insurers shall not be liable in respect of loss, damage or liability directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from: 1.1 ionising, radiations or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear waste or from the combustion of nuclear fuel; for the purpose of this Exclusion only, combustion shall include any self-sustaining process of nuclear fission; 1.2 nuclear weapons materials. This General Exclusion shall not apply to liability resulting from the use of commercial radioactive isotopes.
