NSR Interest Sample Clauses
The NSR Interest clause defines the right of a party, typically a seller or royalty holder, to receive a percentage of the net smelter returns from minerals produced and sold from a mining property. In practice, this means that after deducting certain allowable costs such as transportation, smelting, and refining from the gross proceeds of mineral sales, the specified percentage is paid to the holder of the NSR interest. This clause ensures that the royalty holder benefits financially from the ongoing production of the mine without bearing operational risks or costs, providing a clear mechanism for sharing revenue and aligning interests between the property owner and the royalty holder.
