Notice and Posting a. Vacant positions and newly created positions will be posted for five (5) working days.

Notice and Posting. Any vacancy which occurs, or new position which is created, which is covered by this bargaining Agreement will be noticed throughout the state so that interested bargaining unit members may apply for said position. The purpose of such notice is to inform employees of vacancies and newly created positions, and to afford employees who are interested and who qualify an equal opportunity to apply for the vacant or newly created position. In circumstances where there are more viable candidates than the number of positions posted, the department may hire from the same pool of applicants when vacancies exist for the same position, location, and unit being hired, up to 6-months.

Posted positions shall include days per year, hours per day, salary, and current job description for the position. If an additional two (2) hours or less is needed at a site, those hours will first be offered to existing employees at that site if program requirements can be met and the employee is qualified. If the hours cannot be filled by existing employees, the position will be posted and hired through the district’s online application system

Notice and Posting. A copy of this Article and the School District’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy No. 416 shall be distributed to all affected employees on an annual basis and to all applicants upon hire. Employees will be expected to acknowledge receipt of notice in a form adopted by the School District. The School District shall also post notice in an appropriate and conspicuous location on School District premises that it has adopted a Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy and that copies of the policy are available for inspection during regular business hours in the District’s personnel office or other suitable locations.
