Salary and benefits protections. Any employee whose position is eliminated as a result of privatization, reorganization of an agency, closure of, or a reduction in force, or other actions by the legislature and who is subsequently transferred to a different position in a state agency is entitled to the salary and benefits protection(s) contained in the State Employee Protection Act. (§2-18-1201 through 1206, MCA)
