Common use of Notes Redeemed or Repurchased in Part Clause in Contracts

Notes Redeemed or Repurchased in Part. Upon surrender of a Note that is redeemed in part, the Issuer will issue and, upon receipt of an Authentication Order, the Trustee will authenticate for the Holder at the expense of the Issuer a new Note equal in principal amount to the unredeemed or unpurchased portion of the Note surrendered; provided that any Definitive Registered Note shall be in a principal amount of $200,000 and in integral multiples of $1,000 above $200,000 in the case of the Dollar Notes and shall be in a principal amount of £100,000 and in integral multiples of £1,000 above £100,000 in the case of the Sterling Notes.
