Common use of NOT TO SUBLET OR ASSIGN Clause in Contracts

NOT TO SUBLET OR ASSIGN. A. The Contractor shall constantly give his personal attention to the faithful prosecution of the Work, shall keep the same under his personal control, shall not assign the Contract or sublet the Work or any part thereof without the previous written consent of the Owner, and shall not assign any of the moneys payable under the Contract, or his claim thereto, unless by and with the like written consent of the Owner and the Surety on the Contract Bonds. Any assignment or subletting in violation hereof shall be void and unenforceable.
