Non-Economic. The non-economic portion of this Agreement shall be in effect beginning the first pay period of 2017 and shall continue through the last pay period of 2018 and from year to year thereafter unless during April of 2018, or April of any given year thereafter, either the City or BMEA shall serve to the other written notice of a desire to modify more than one Article of this Agreement, in which event negotiations concerning the modification will be held.

Non-Economic. Grievances shall be considered settled at Step 1 unless reduced to writing on appropriate forms signed by the aggrieved employee and/or Union and delivered to the Friend of Court within five (5) working days after the meeting or adjourned meeting at Step 1. In this case, a meeting will be arranged within five (5) working days between the designated representative of the Union, the Grievant(s), and the Friend of Court for the purpose of attempting to settle the grievance.
