Common use of NO UNLAWFUL OPERATION Clause in Contracts

NO UNLAWFUL OPERATION. The Shipowner will not cause or permit the Vessel to be operated in any manner contrary to law, and the Shipowner will not engage in any unlawful trade or violate any law or carry any cargo that will expose the Vessel to penalty, forfeiture or capture, and will not do, or suffer or permit to be done, anything which can or may injuriously affect the registration or enrollment of the Vessel under the laws and regulations of the Republic of Liberia and will at all times at its own expense keep the Vessel duly documented thereunder, except in the case of any change of registry permitted by the Indenture or hereby, in which case a mortgage will be recorded against the Vessel under the laws of any such new registry state.
