No Offset or Attachment Clause Samples
The "No Offset or Attachment" clause prohibits either party from reducing, withholding, or attaching amounts owed under the agreement to satisfy other claims or debts. In practice, this means that payments due must be made in full, regardless of any disputes or unrelated obligations between the parties, and creditors cannot seize these payments to cover other liabilities. This clause ensures that contractual payments are protected from being diminished or redirected, thereby providing certainty and security in financial transactions under the agreement.
No Offset or Attachment. Except as required by law, no right to receive payments under this Agreement shall be subject to anticipation, commutation, alienation, sale, assignment, encumbrance, charge, pledge or hypothecation, or to execution, attachment, levy or similar process or assignment by operation of law, and any attempt, voluntary or involuntary, to affect any such action shall be null, void and of no effect.
