NFLPA Group Licensing Program Clause Samples

The NFLPA Group Licensing Program clause establishes the framework by which the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) manages and licenses the collective publicity rights of its member players. Under this clause, the NFLPA is authorized to negotiate and enter into agreements with third parties, such as merchandise or video game companies, to use the names, images, and likenesses of multiple players as a group. This arrangement streamlines the process for companies seeking to use player likenesses, as they can secure rights for many players at once rather than negotiating individual deals. The core function of this clause is to centralize and simplify the licensing of player rights, ensuring efficiency and maximizing revenue opportunities for both the players and the NFLPA.
