Network Provider Training Sample Clauses
The Network Provider Training clause establishes the requirement for network providers to undergo specific training related to the services or systems they will be using or supporting. Typically, this clause outlines the type of training required, who is responsible for providing it, and the timeframe within which it must be completed. For example, it may mandate that all network providers complete cybersecurity awareness training before accessing sensitive systems. The core function of this clause is to ensure that network providers are adequately prepared and knowledgeable, thereby reducing operational risks and enhancing the quality and security of service delivery.
Network Provider Training. A. Contractor shall ensure that all Network Providers receive training regarding the Medi-Cal Managed Care program in order to operate in full compliance with the Contract and all applicable federal and State statutes and regulations. Contractor shall ensure that Network Provider training relates to Medi-Cal Managed Care services, policies, procedures and any modifications to existing services, policies or procedures. Training shall include methods for sharing information between Contractor, Network Provider, Member and/or other healthcare professionals. Contractor shall conduct training for all Network Providers within ten (10) working days after Contractor places a newly contracted Network Provider on active status. Contractor shall ensure that Network Provider training includes information on all Member rights specified in Exhibit A, Attachment 13, Member Services, including the right to full disclosure of health care information and the right to actively participate in health care decisions. Contractor shall ensure that ongoing training is conducted when deemed necessary by either Contractor or the State.
B. Contractor shall develop and implement a process to provide information to providers and to train Network Providers on a continuing basis regarding clinical protocols, evidenced-based practice guidelines and DHCS-developed cultural awareness and sensitivity instruction for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities or chronic conditions. This process shall include an educational program for Network Providers regarding health needs specific to this population that utilizes a variety of educational strategies, including but not limited to, posting information on websites as well as other methods of educational outreach to Network Providers.
C. For Out-of-Network Providers who will not receive Network Provider training, Contractor shall develop and implement a process to provide them with Contractor’s clinical protocols and evidence-based practice guidelines. Contractor shall arrange to provide these protocols and guidelines at the time that Contractor enters into an agreement with an Out-of-Network Provider.
Network Provider Training. Network shall require Network Providers to receive and participate in any applicable training developed by Plan, the contents of which may be amended from time to time by Plan in its sole and absolute discretion. Network shall require Network Provider to maintain a level of experience through continuing education programs in Network Provider's particular discipline and shall maintain the educational standards required by Network Provider's licensure board when applicable. Network Provider shall participate, to the extent feasible, in any continuing education programs established or recommended by Plan appropriate to Network Provider's particular practice.
Network Provider Training. County shall participate in training required by CalOptima in order for CalOptima to comply with the DHCS Contract. Such provider training may include, utilization management training, quality of care for children (early periodic screening, diagnosis and testing) training, Member’s rights, and advanced directives. Training will also include training on cultural competency and linguistic programs as outlined in this section. County shall ensure that all Subcontractors receive all applicable training.
