Common use of Needs Improvement Evaluation Clause in Contracts

Needs Improvement Evaluation. 1. An employee who receives an overall needs improvement evaluation shall be provided a Performance Improvement Notice within ten (10) days of such receipt, but not later than the end of the employee’s appointment period, which contains at least the following information: a. A description of the performance that needs to be improved; b. The performance improvement desired; c. Assistance to be provided the employee including supervisory feedback, training, etc; d. Length of time within which to achieve the improvement; and e. Possible consequences for failure to improve performance. 2. An employee shall be provided a total of at least sixty (60) days within which to improve performance to a Meets Expectations level. The employee’s performance shall be reevaluated within ten (10) days of the conclusion of the performance period.
