NECA Apprentice. 1. NECA Apprentices shall be designated as either low-time (4,000 accredited hours or below) or high-time (above 4,000 accredited hours) apprentices. a. Low-time apprentices will be assigned to work directly with a Journeyman, except as provided in 5.12 C.4 Temporary Frame Apprentices. b. Apprentices classified as “high-time” may be utilized for certain less technical tasks, that are not safety sensitive, as set forth below, under the direction of a Journeyman or ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ without being assigned to work directly with a Journeyman. Such Apprentices are those who have completed more than 4,000 accredited hours of employment as Apprentices. Examples of less technical tasks which may be performed without direct supervision include: wire pulling, station wiring, jumper running, and set preparation (designation strips). c. Apprentices with more than 6,500 accredited hours may work alone, under the direction of a Journeyman or ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ without being assigned to work directly with a Journeyman.
NECA Apprentice. A NECA apprentice may be considered for regular employment with the Company through a bid or application process for regular employment.
