MULTIPLE TITLES. In determining an employee’s rights under this Article, an employee can have permanent seniority in only one (1) class at a time. An employee who carries a multiple title shall be treated as having permanent seniority in the lowest part of his/her multiple title. Exceptions to this general rule would be where the employee previously held a higher part of the multiple title on a single title basis, or where the parties agree that the employee’s permanent seniority should be in a higher part of the multiple title based on the employee’s nature and history of employment. Such agreement must be in effect no later than ninety (90) days prior to the announcement of a reduction in force.
