Common use of MONITORING VISITS Clause in Contracts

MONITORING VISITS. SUBRECIPIENT agrees that ENTITY shall conduct on-site monitoring visits to assure compliance with applicable Federal requirements and that performance goals are being achieved, if applicable, as per 2 CFR Part 200. SUBRECIPIENT shall attend an orientation prior to the award of funds and prior to the first draw of funds. After each monitoring visit, ENTITY shall provide SUBRECIPIENT with a written report of the monitor’s findings. If the monitoring reports note deficiencies in SUBRECIPIENT’s performance under the terms of this Agreement, the monitoring report shall include requirements for the timely correction of such deficiencies by SUBRECIPIENT. Failure by SUBRECIPIENT to take action specified in the monitoring report may be cause for suspension or termination of this Agreement, as provided in Section XII of this Agreement. In addition, SUBRECIPIENT shall give HUD, the Comptroller General of the United States, ENTITY, and any of their duly authorized representatives, unobstructed and full access to and the right to examine all books, accounts, records, reports, files, and other papers, things, or property belonging to or in use by SUBRECIPIENT pertaining to this Agreement.
